Pauline JenkinsParliamentary Spokesman for Newark
Pauline grew up in Liverpool and went to Manchester University and then moved to London to study for an MSc. After that she worked in local government until 1978 when she moved to the countryside so that her children could have a rural upbringing. It was at this point that she first became involved with the Liberal party; she was a Town Councillor for a term. Pauline taught physics for 18 years until she moved to Brussels in 2003 to join her husband. She returned to the UK in 2006 and became a Town and District Councillor in the 2006 elections. Education: Manchester University, BSc (Hons) Liberal Studies in Science MSc Information Science PGCE in Physical Sciences Council experience: Town Councillor for Southwell and Trent 1998-2003 and then 2006-present Occupation: Secondary School Teacher Interests: Sailing, walking in the Peaks or North Yorkshire Moors, Family.
