Financing Flood Mitigation

Although Southwell Town Council's funding to the flood mitigation measures is smaller than the District and County Councils', it is still a significant contribution from Southwell's Council Taxpayers. With its bigger Council Tax revenues, a similar share from the County Council would raise £4.6 million, over 7 times more funding than their current promise. The District Council's contribution would be an extra 70% at £373,000.
